Bird Watching

We will take a walk along the boardwalk and marsh area, pausing to observe any birds we may spot.  Binoculars are encouraged, but not required. Children will be given a checklist and field note package as an optional activity while we watch, so they may want to bring a clipboard and pencil along with them. Parents may want to download the Audubon Bird App or Merlin Bird App to help identify birds; a bird identification guide will also be available. We hope you will enjoy the many native birds and fall migrants we hope to encounter on our excursion! 

Also, we have limited this activity to 20 students to prevent scaring the birds as loud noises can cause them to fly away. To allow maximum participation, we have scheduled a 2nd meetup on Monday, December 9th.
