Student Code of Conduct

At S.E.R.V.E. Homeschool, we believe in creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
for all students. Our code of conduct outlines the expectations and values that guide our
interactions and behavior during our programs.

1. Respect Others: Treat all S.E.R.V.E. Homeschool Leadership, students, educators, and
field trip coordinators with kindness, empathy, and respect. Listen attentively when others
are speaking, and avoid interrupting or talking over them. Be mindful of personal space
and boundaries, and refrain from any form of bullying, teasing, or harassment. Bullying or violence will not be tolerated.

2. Follow Instructions: Listen carefully to instructions provided by S.E.R.V.E. leadership
and educators, and follow them promptly and respectfully. If you have any questions or
concerns, do not hesitate to ask for clarification or assistance.

3. Participate Positively: Engage actively in classroom discussions, group activities, 
service projects, outreaches, field trips, and learning exercises. Contribute your ideas,
share your thoughts, and collaborate with your peers in a constructive and positive
manner. Be supportive of others contributions and efforts, and celebrate each others
successes.

4. Be Responsible: Take ownership of your actions and choices, and accept the
consequences of your behavior. Respect classroom materials, equipment, and facilities,
handling them with care and responsibility. Clean up after yourself and help maintain a
clean and orderly learning environment.

5. Be Honest and Fair: Always be truthful and honest in your interactions. Avoid cheating,
lying, or dishonest behavior, and uphold the principles of integrity and fairness in all
aspects of your academic and social life.

6. Use Technology Responsibly: Use electronic devices and technology in a responsible
and appropriate manner. Respect copyright laws and intellectual property rights, and use
technology for educational purposes only. Refrain from accessing inappropriate content
or engaging in cyberbullying or online harassment.

7. Respect Diversity: Embrace and celebrate diversity within our community, including
differences in culture, race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, and abilities. Be open-minded,
kind, and accepting of others perspectives and backgrounds, and refrain from making
derogatory or discriminatory remarks or jokes.

8. Seek Help When Needed: If you encounter any challenges, difficulties, or concerns
during our programs, reach out to S.E.R.V.E. Homeschool Leadership or trusted adults
for assistance and support. We are here to help you succeed and thrive, and are committed
to providing the resources and assistance you need.

9.No Weapons at SERVE Homeschool events, activities or outreaches : We prioritize the safety of the organization as a whole . Weapons have no place at SERVE events. 

By adhering to these principles and values, we can create a positive and inclusive learning
environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported. Thank you for your

If any of these guidelines are broken:
1. Contact with Parent(s): We will contact the parent(s) to discuss what took place and
address the situation as well as ways to resolve the matter.

2. Warning Issued: A warning will be issued, highlighting the behavior that needs
improvement and the consequences of further violations.

3. Termination of Membership: If the behavior persists despite warnings and attempts to
address it, termination of membership may be necessary to maintain a peaceful and
pleasant environment for all members of our community.

IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF Membership

S.E.R.V.E. Homeschool Outreach maintains a zero-tolerance policy for serious offenses. To preserve a safe and secure environment for all members, immediate termination of membership will be enacted in cases of severe infractions, as determined by S.E.R.V.E. Homeschool Outreach maintains a zero-tolerance policy for serious offenses (bullying, or any offense that has to do with the risk of anyone's safety or well-being, ect). We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels valued, respected, and supported in our

Parent Code of Conduct

As a member of the S.E.R.V.E. Homeschool community, I recognize the importance of fostering
a positive and respectful environment for all. Therefore, I commit to upholding the following
principles and guidelines:

1. Respect and Kindness: I will treat all fellow members with respect, kindness, and
empathy, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated.


2. Consistent Behavior: I acknowledge the necessity of conducting myself respectfully at
all times, both in person and online, in alignment with the community's code of conduct.


3. Enjoyment for All: I will contribute to creating an environment that ensures the
enjoyment and sense of belonging for all members.


4. Adherence to Guidelines: I understand that failure to adhere to these guidelines may
result in the revocation of my membership in the S.E.R.V.E. Homeschool community.

5. Mandatory Parental Supervision & Liability: Active and vigilant supervision of your own children is a non-negotiable requirement for participation in all SERVE Homeschool Outreach events. Responsibility rests solely with the parent/guardian. SERVE leadership and event organizers are not substitute supervisors and cannot monitor children on your behalf. Furthermore, parents/guardians accept full financial liability for any property damage resulting from their child(ren)'s actions. Incidents of damage will prompt immediate discussion with the responsible parent/guardian regarding supervision adequacy. Failure to adequately supervise may affect future participation.


By adhering to these principles and guidelines, I contribute to the creation of a positive and
inclusive community where all members can thrive.

Conflict Resolution

   In the event of a conflict, we encourage you to handle it in accordance below.

1. Begin by approaching the individual involved and make an effort to resolve the issue through direct communication, not through text messages since things can be miscommunicated by using texting.

2. If a resolution cannot be reached through personal dialogue, please seek assistance from the leadership of S.E.R.V.E.

3. If a member approaches you with a grievance against another member, kindly encourage your fellow member to follow this conflict resolution process and address the matter directly with the individual causing the concern.

    Our primary aim is to cultivate a peaceful and welcoming environment for all our members. We acknowledge that conflicts may occasionally arise and, in such instances, we strongly encourage individuals to engage in open conversations to resolve any issues that may emerge.

SERVE Homeschool Outreach No-Show Policy

1. Purpose: This policy ensures fairness to all members, responsible use of resources (including volunteer time and potential group funds), and accurate planning for SERVE Homeschool Outreach events that require registration or RSVP. When members sign up for an event, organizers rely on that commitment for headcounts, potential payments, supplies, and venue arrangements.

2. Cancellation Requirement: If you and/or your child(ren) have registered for a SERVE event but find you are unable to attend, it is your responsibility to cancel your registration in a timely manner.

  • Method: Cancellations should typically be made through the same platform used for sign-up (e.g website link, specific registration form) or by directly contacting the designated Event Coordinator via email.

  • Deadline: Unless otherwise specified in the event details, cancellations must be made at least [C72 hours prior to the event start time. This allows members on waiting lists an opportunity to attend and enables coordinators to finalize arrangements. Event-specific cancellation deadlines may apply, especially for pre-paid or ticketed events, and will be noted in the event description.

3. Definition of a "No-Show": A "No-Show" occurs when a registered member (or their registered child(ren) fails to attend a SERVE event for which they signed up AND fails to provide cancellation notice by the specified deadline.

4. Exceptions (Emergencies & Sudden Illness): We understand that sudden illness or family emergencies can prevent attendance with little notice. In such unavoidable situations, please contact the Event Coordinator or a member of the SERVE Leadership team as soon as reasonably possible, even if it is past the cancellation deadline. While these situations may not count as a No-Show for consequence purposes, timely communication is still expected and appreciated. Frequent last-minute cancellations citing emergencies may be reviewed by leadership.

5. Tracking & Consequences: To ensure fairness and accountability, No-Show instances will be tracked per family within the official SERVE academic year (e.g., August 1st - July 31st). Consequences for No-Shows are progressive:

  • First Offense: A formal email reminder will be sent to the member outlining this No-Show Policy and the importance of timely cancellations.

  • Second Offense: The member family will be restricted from registering for any SERVE events that have limited spots or require pre-payment/deposits for a period of [Choose One: e.g., 60 days. Access to sign-ups for free, unlimited-spot events (like park days) may continue. Any non-refundable fees paid for the missed event are forfeited.

  • Third Offense: The member family will be restricted from registering for any SERVE events requiring sign-up (including limited spot, paid, and free RSVP events) for  6 months & or the remainder of the academic year. Any non-refundable fees paid for the missed event are forfeited. A meeting or discussion with SERVE Leadership may be required before event registration privileges are fully restored.

6. Scope: This policy applies to all SERVE Homeschool Outreach events where registration, RSVP, or sign-up is required, whether free or paid.

7. Acknowledgment: By registering for a SERVE event, members acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this No-Show Policy.

You may opt-out of specific communications, although essential membership updates are non-optional.
