Join us on Saturday, March 22nd from 9am-11am as we harvest, weed, and plant vegetables for a local food bank.
This activity is a great way to learn some gardening skills while serving those in need in our community.
Per the organization’s guidelines, only 12 students are needed for this project and students 7-12 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian as this is physical work that may require assistance. This is not a drop off event. Parents must stay on premises even with their teenage children. Per Farming New Orleans request, this service event is only for students ages 7 and up.
Please wear clothes/shoes to get dirty in AND bring water. Also pack whatever items you need to be in the sun for 2 hours (sunscreen, sun hats, sun glasses etc.)
